What an analysis can tell you

A log checks recorded behavior, not the overall mechanical health of the engine. A clean result does not rule out a fault.

Recorded conditions, not a mechanical inspection

Dynosaur focuses on BMW N54, N55, B58, S55 and S58 six-cylinder logs, subject to channel coverage. Compression, leaks, wear, fault codes and behavior outside analyzed pulls are not ruled out.

Findings may help explain a symptom, but do not establish its cause. A symptom outside a detected pull may not have been assessed.

A control check, not tune certification

The analysis checks control and consistency. It does not approve a tune. Confirm the map, actual fuel and hardware before interpreting results.

Whole-log measurements and detected pulls

Whole-log observations describe ranges across the recording, including samples outside selected pulls. These are measurements, not validated idle, cold-start or whole-engine diagnoses.

If no qualifying acceleration segment is found, the file may still have been read successfully. This is not a healthy-engine verdict. Idle, cruise and intermittent symptoms may need a different capture or a workshop test.

Comparing recordings

Comparisons describe observed differences only. Temperature, road grade, wind, fuel and driving can confound the result. Power estimates are intentionally excluded from these comparisons.
